The protein is definitely golden in this case- keeps the kids from getting too hyper and the nursing mamas from low blood sugar... And we must remember that if we keep the kids and nursing mamas happy, all will be well.alanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10799935582310923080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5550235196991576571.post-7691961974262013432009-01-30T09:39:00.000-08:002009-01-30T09:39:00.000-08:00yum yum!i made this delicious cake for a snowy sun...yum yum!
i made this delicious cake for a snowy sunday breakfast with friends and it sure was a big hit!
i added toasted chopped walnuts to the streusel to sneak in some protein for the kids and nursing mamas, it was so tasty!
thanks, alana!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5550235196991576571.post-45330852216764718702009-01-21T12:36:00.000-08:002009-01-21T12:36:00.000-08:00As the hand attached to the beige sweater in the p...As the hand attached to the beige sweater in the photo, I can attest that it was one damn good coffee cake. Every time it's a weekend morning and Sarah has the coffee cake urge, I highly encourage it. It reminds me of the Aunt Jemima coffee cake my mom used to squirt into a paper baking tray, except that Sarah's is delicious and Aunt Jemima's was yellow crap.

I'd also like to add that, prior to coffee cake, the two girls were running around the house yelling, "We're having CAKE for BREAKFAST! We NEVER have CAKE for BREAKFAST!"

(ps -- I ate a whole bunch of yummy acerolas)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
